Communitarianism, New Word Meaning, John Q. Public is Screwed! or will be soon…

In January 2008 Former President Bill Clinton addressed a meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, here is a quote from his speech.

“Communitarianism is a movement that considers individualism an impediment to society uniformly adopting values the movement considers appropriate, including authoritarian gun control.”

So, do you think your individual freedoms are safe?

Clearly these pompous elitists think they are smarter and better than everyone else.  In reality they are just a rehash of old fashioned socialism.  My Grandfather would have called them “educated damn fools!”  Conservatives are still the majority in this country, we need to become the vocal majority and put a stop to such foolishness.  We need to teach, speak out, share, influence, and express our views at every opportunity.

If you do not consider this to be an important issue I suggest some reading:

  • 1984 by George Orwell
  • Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
  • Animal Farm by George Orwell
  • The Fountain Head by Ayn Rand
  • Paradise Lost by John Milton

Freedom and Individuality were the building blocks of this country and they are what draw peoples from all over the world to our shores.  If we give them up we loose our identity and frankly our value to humanity.

Freedom

Freedom is indivisible – there is no “s” on the end of it.

You can erode freedom, diminish it, but you cannot divide it and choose to keep “some freedoms” while giving up others.

Anti-Gun Crowd Waste no Time!

HR 45 has been introduced in the House of Representatives.  The title is “Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009″.

Blair Holt was an incredibly brave young man why as a Junior in High School used his body to protect another student from a crazed attacker.  Now the anti-Second Amendment crowd are using Blair Holt to further their agenda to dismantle the Second Amendment any way they can.  Last summer the Supreme Court found in Heller v. The District of Columbia that the Second Amendment does apply to individuals.

The Anti-Freedom crowd cannot allow the Heller decision to stand.  They are on the attack, as proof of this fact note that the first day of the 111th Congress was January 6, 2009.  HR 45 was filed on January 6, 2009.  If you think you have time to worry about protecting your Second Amendment rights later, think again.  The Left knows there is no time to waste and they will grab all they can from day 1.

Below are links to some orginizations that fight to protect our gun rights.
